Are we giving happiness a chance?

The whole universe seems to be conjuring up moments for us to be happy...but are we giving happiness a chance? The birds are singing their songs and the trees are offering us their shade for free, but we are so busy with negative selftalk that we fail to notice it The rivers are giving us free breeze and the oceans are humming their rhythms offering us the joy to take a dip of pure bliss...but we are too worried about getting sunburnt and not being in shape The forests are giving us free adventure trips with the trees and birds and wildlife but we are more focused on the adventures on dating sites We are not giving nature a chance to make us happy. As the famous song says it's time to return to innocence. We must turn back and give life a chance to heal us with its abundance and joy It's our only path to redemption. It's our only path to salvage us from the mess we have got ourselves into As a race we are dying and we are the ones building the coffins to bury us....we expec

Kindness is the new sexy!

Everyday there are soany stories about men getting richer, buying faster cars, marrying prettier models, starting companies from scratch etc etc But what really turns me on are the stories of seasoned men giving back. Giving back to their communities, to their people, to the world. Giving back is the only way to start the karma of getting it back with interest. The universe is like the biggest bank you can think of and what we invest it returns to us with big interest. So people who understand this give freely. Give with their hearts. It's not just money. It's all we have. It could be compassion, love, humility, encouragement, support, smiles, generosity anything.  The reverse is also true...the negatives come back with returns too. So next time you want to send out something to the universe be mindful. You are starting a chain reaction more powerful than the nuclear reaction. Be kind. Be humble. Be good. Afterall all we have is a gift from God and will be gone from us when we

The blindmen and elephant - story of our lives!

I am sure all of us remember the story of blind men and the elephant. How each blind man comes in contact with a part of the elephant and starts thinking the elephant is like a tree, or a snake or a fan etc. I sometimes feel that our life is like that. At every stage in life, we are coming in contact with an aspect of life and we start thinking that this is life. As we grow older and when we have played the roles of all the blind men, we tend to put it all together and start figuring life as a whole. We get the whole picture then. So till we are there, where we are ready to see life in full from every perspective, let's continue to play our role of the blind men and let's have the faith that life itself will reveal to us and we will experience life in full. We will understand the whys and the why nots. We will get answers to all our questions and may be stop questioning the answers we have. We will be truly and fully alive, living life on all engines gunning in full blast. Till

How do we make a positive difference?

An actor I love, Morgan Freeman, has done something unique. He was concerned with the disappearing of bees, hence he has converted his ranch into a giant beehive and has become a beekeeper. So what we may ask? We all have the power to make a positive difference in this world. May be all we can do is say thank you God! And try to make our surroundings a little more livable in the little way we can. It may not do any good. But it won't do any harm either. And it might help us find our IKIGAI. Our purpose to live.  Not a bad tradeoff!

Gratitude is Gold!

There are so many things we all are blessed with that we don't even consider. We focus so much on our pain that we forget the power that helps us and guides us through struggles.  Nothing really belongs to anyone of us. All that we have are a gift from life and will hand back to it as we embrace death. That's the reality for all of us. Everything is temporary including us and things we build forever. There is a force that runs the world that we can't see or feel. But then I can't see atoms but can I deny the existence of atomic bombs? I can't see air but can I deny its existence as I'm breathing in and out? As we start having faith and as we start trusting the unseen forces that guide our lives, let's be grateful. Grateful for everything we have and we don't May be then we will find true eternal peace even as we wait for our friend death to take us away! Thank you God for this life!

Dream and Hope - the fuels of happy societies!

It is said that around 40% of global population will be living in cities soon. This mindless migration in search of opportunities is creating pockets of urban slums in the cities where life is hell. Unless we take care of this population now and include them in the larger scheme of things planned for mankind, we can never sustain ourselves as a healthy population. The worst I feel that these groups of people face is the loss of hope and compassion. The opportunities that can help them and their children live a dignified life seems to be disappearing.  As a community, as a human race, we have to ensure that they don't lose their dignity. We have to help this population keep the faith in humanity. They need to be facilitators and catalysts in our progress and not the sufferers. We are all connected in this great universe. And God wants us to help one another and stay together through think & thin. That's our only hope of survival. That's our Noah's arc bound by the va

Humanity is dying and we are blind to it!

#Osho wanted to create a commune where everyone was welcome from every colour and creed. A commune that has only humans. He tried to build this in the USA but he was ahead of his times and it failed. The time has come to create another such commune that will serve as the modern Noah's arc and save what's precious for humanity. The deluge is coming it's just that we are not seeing it. It's going to drown us all unless we pray and plan and perform the selfless duty of saving all of us. Mankind is in peril. We are all killing each other internally and externally till we are just walking dead like the zombies. We deserve better. We deserve more. I pray to God for sanity of us all. So that we are able to do what's necessary to save us from imminent doom that is engulfing us. God save us from the darkness save us all. You are all we have.
