Hollow

Most of the people around me are dead already Their eyes are like the eyes of dead fish Resigned to their fate to die a slow suffocating death Their walk has lost the bounce and vigour of childhood, to grow up to be walking dead Is this the world we want to live in? A world where we are alive because we have no other choice? We have made machines our new masters Slowly everyday we handover the reins of our lives to them as we slide into a lifeless stupor Wake up mankind wake up We have not come this far only to get no far from here We are not going to write our epitaph just yet We survived because we are fighters Solution seekers and rain makers Let's retrace our footsteps Let's rediscover the way our forefathers lived They had difficult lives but they were more alive than we are today We are like the Dracula, someone who is blessed to live forever as long as he is willing to be more dead than alive Is this the best we can do? The mountain between us

The film mountain between us is a simple story. A storm, A mountain, two professionals, one recklessly sick pilot and a dog. Meagre ingredients for a movie. But the movie touches you deeply. Hits you hard like the sinking Titanic and it's soulful background track. The mountain in the movie is the metaphor we all have in our relationships. It's the mountain and the storm that brings people closer. The lonely souls wandering in the sea of souls, looking for something neither knows. It's so true in our modern lives. We are all living busy lives, chasing dreams. Then life takes over sometimes, creating situations and circumstances that gets us meet people whom we were otherwise never going to meet. Call it destiny or karma or whatever you choose. But these people, places and circumstances help us reach deep within ourselves and find us the anchors in the sea of life.
